NV Passenger Features
One passenger van, nearly limitless possibilities
Your needs change fast. And the NV Passenger van was designed to adjust to them quickly. Whether it’s the 324 possible interior configurations, the SUV-like cabin comfort or the safety and technology features, this is one vehicle ready for whatever you may have in store for it.
An interior flexible enough for virtually any task
One step inside the NV Passenger van and you’ll quickly see how different it is. The lack of seat belts hanging from the ceiling and ease of getting in and out is immediately apparent. Plus you can add and remove seats quickly to create up to 324 possible interior configurations.
The interior that’s a blank canvas
With 324 possible configurations, you can create an interior specifically designed to meet your needs. Whether you have to carry fewer people or more cargo [*], the seating arrangement can easily be reconfigured to meet your requirements.
Integrated seatbelts, easier entry and exits
Conventional vans normally have rear seatbelts attached to the ceiling or pillars. That design makes getting in and out of the vehicle difficult. Nissan engineers confronted that issue head on by integrating the rear passenger seatbelts directly into the seat itself[*]. That setup allows passengers to enter and exit the vehicle more easily.
A new single- and dual-seat benchmark
Interior configurations are somewhat limited in conventional passenger vans because of their large benches. However, the NV Passenger van uses one- and two-person seats. These give you increased flexibility to create your own borders and boundaries. Removal doesn’t require tools and there are even wheels on the fourth row seats to make moving easier.
Passengers are your guests. Treat them as such.
Finding ways to keep passengers comfortable in the NV Passenger van was a high priority for Nissan engineers. From the lower step-in height to a smartly designed climate control system, all the innovations add up to one large leap forward in passenger van comfort.
Let your passengers’ first step be an easy one
Anyone entering the NV Passenger van can reach the rear passenger seats with ease. This is accomplished with a combination of a low step-in height and strategically placed assist grips.
A Smarter Climate Control System
If warm air rises and cool air falls, then why do both come out of the same vent? Nissan engineers added two overhead A/C and two floor heater vents for each rear row to help distribute air evenly. Plus, rear passengers have their own climate controls and 14 fan speeds.
A place for everyone to rest their head
Unlike some competitors, each individual seat in the NV Passenger van has its own adjustable headrest. This allows passengers to sit in a more comfortable position.
An illuminating experience for your passengers
Sometimes your passengers need additional light to help them see better. That’s why all rear rows have two available reading lamps, for a total of six. Each one turns on with a simple push.
The power you need, in two forms
From cell phones to portable video games, everybody carries around some sort of electronic gadget. Nissan engineers made powering them easier by including available 12V outlets up front and in the third row. And for larger items like laptops, there are two available 120V outlets up front and in the rear cargo area as well.
Large doors that open wide and stay that way
You would think large doors on a passenger van would be a given. Oddly enough that’s not the case. That’s why the NV Passenger van comes with rear cargo doors that secure at 90° in tight spaces. They also open to 243° wide when you need additional room. Mounted magnets help keep the doors from closing on hills or in windy conditions. As for the side door, it slides open to over 41 inches wide to give your passengers plenty of room to enter and exit.
A cabin designed for one person, you
As a driver, you have many tasks and the cabin of the NV Passenger van was designed to help you do them well. There’s plenty of space and storage available for maps or a first aid kit. And when it comes time to hit the road, you’ll be sitting in a comfortable, yet durable seat with a wide view of the road.
The ultimate drivers seat
The larger, low-fatigue heated seats help keep you comfortable on your journey. Due to the NV Passenger van’s SUV-like design, the engine doesn’t intrude into the cabin. This setup creates superior legroom, helps eliminate awkward seating positions and reduces heat and noise.
A front cabin ready for your daily rigors
You and your passengers are constantly going in and out of your vehicle. To help protect against the inevitable wear, the seats have tough heavy-duty vinyl protective wear patches. Water-repellent surfaces stand up to the occasional spill. There’s even a durable material over the center console and lower dash to help maintain the NV Passenger van’s attractive interior.
Storage as smart as you are
At the heart of the NV Passenger van’s in-cabin storage is the available center console. Underneath the top cover, there’s enough space for large gadgets. Above it, the lid turns into a table that slides both forwards and backwards. The available 12V and 120V outlets are ready to power whatever equipment you have. You can even remove the console if you need extra space up front.
For additional storage, there is an under-seat pullout tray ideal for smaller items such as extra power cords.
Open your eyes to a bigger view of the road
It all begins with the front pillar. Engineers moved them back slightly which results in better side visibility. The large side mirrors help minimize the size of blind spots. And for those even harder to see areas, the available Front and Rear Sonar System [*] and RearView Monitor [*] assist you in maneuvering around the many obstacles found in parking lots and on the road.
Technology designed to advance you
Nissan is known for engineering cutting-edge technology into our vehicles. The NV Passenger van is no exception. Whether it’s the available Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone System [*], navigation, parking aids or multiple types of electrical outlets, these features are ready to help keep you moving comfortably forward.
Meet obstacles, then maneuver around them
When backing up, more eyes are better. However, the available RearView Monitor[*] helps improve them further by using a camera to give you an enhanced view of what’s behind the vehicle. The available Front and Rear Sonar System also helps you avoid objects and improves maneuvering in tight spaces[*].
Keep your hands on the wheel, not your phone
A driver’s first priority is to keep passengers safe. One way that can be achieved is through the use of the available Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone System[*]. Your Bluetooth-enabled phone pairs with the NV Passenger van’s in-dash navigation/audio center. This allows your call to play through the vehicle’s speakers and helps keep your focus on the road instead of your device.
Power in whichever form you may need
You and your passengers carry around a variety of devices. Fortunately there are a number of ways to power them all. Smaller electronics can be plugged into the 12V outlets in the front cabin and third row. Others have two available 120V outlets in front and in the rear cargo area for charging flexibility.
It’s not just a radio, it’s an entertainment center
The available in-dash touchscreen Nissan Navigation/Audio Center is ready to keep everyone inside the NV Passenger van entertained. Play music from your iPod[*] through the available USB input or listen to the available SiriusXM Satellite Radio[*]. The system’s premium audio system ensures either choice sounds great.
Quality engineering, exceptional performance
Nissan has consistently been a leader in advancing automotive engineering and performance. The NV Passenger van is the latest vehicle to reap the benefits of that experience.
With multiple engine options; class-leading brakes [*]; a full-length, fully boxed ladder frame and more, this is a vehicle ready for you, your passengers and their gear.
Two engines, two powerful options
At the heart of the NV Passenger van are two potent and reliable power plants. Both the 261-hp, 4.0L V6 and available 317-hp, 5.6L V8 feature the technologically advanced Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control System (CVTCS). It constantly makes adjustments to deliver the performance and efficiency you need.
Heavy-duty brakes for heavy-duty stopping power
The brakes on the NV Passenger van are designed to help you confidently stop whatever loads you’re carrying. This is accomplished through the vehicle’s massive brakes, the largest amongst all passenger vans and SUVs [*].
A frame designed to handle the stress of any trip
The NV Passenger van’s full-length, fully boxed ladder frame is strong enough to handle large loads. The result: a firm and confident feeling behind the wheel regardless of what you’re transporting.
A transmission designed for your shifting needs
With two powerful engine options, you can rest assured the NV Passenger van’s standard 5-speed automatic transmission is designed to handle the muscle generated by either one.
Powerful enough to tow large loads, too
The NV Passenger van’s engine and frame were designed to carry large loads. With the available towing package, you can haul up to 9,500 lbs.[*]
Access the engine outside of the cabin, not in it
Unlike traditional passenger vans, the NV Passenger van utilizes an SUV-like design. This means, mechanics can perform service more easily and quickly, without having to enter the vehicle. You can also set up the maintenance computer to let you know when it's time for tire rotations, oil and filter changes.
Take on the road with conviction
With so many SUV-like attributes, the NV Passenger van offers what every driver wants—more confidence behind the wheel. This is achieved by improving visibility to help reduce blind spots. The handling and ride characteristics allow the vehicle to maneuver more easily and create better straight-line stability. Add in available features like power extendable tow mirrors, Front and Rear Sonar System [*] and RearView Monitor [*], it’s easy to see why NV Passenger van is similar to an SUV.
Keep you and your passengers safe
The NV Passenger van is loaded with a number of safety features. From the eight standard air bags [*], to integrated seat belts [*] in all rear seating positions and the largest brakes amongst competitors [*], this vehicle steps up to the competition, then passes them by.
Have the confidence to take on Mother Nature
Driving conditions aren’t always ideal. Fortunately you can rely on Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) [*] and Traction Control to help navigate many different driving situations.
Eight air bags are ready to help when you need them
There are a total of eight standard air bags designed to help protect all occupants [*]. The front row features frontal, side seat and curtain air bags. And the three rear passenger rows have side curtain air bags as well.
Seat belts attached to where they belong, the seat
By integrating the rear three-point seat belts [*] into the seats, it’s now easier to access the rear rows. This is a dramatic improvement over the traditional set up where the belts are attached to various places inside the passenger area.
Lower set bumper, better protection for all
The NV Passenger van has its bumper set lower to be more in line with passenger cars. This design helps reduce the likelihood of damage to both vehicles in an impact.
